Tvungen turglede

I made this page for my daughter, about her unwillingness to spend time outdoor. She is always complaining, but really happy and running about once we have left the house.
Blir aldri lei av mønsterark med trestruktur. Her er arket fra Simple Stories.

Still in love with wooden paper, this time from Simple Stories.
Stencil from Carabelle, combined with Distress Ink. And then some random stamping.

Needed some journaling to explain the title. Different papers and PL-cards behind the photo.

It looked a bit plain, so I added some red elements to make up for that.

Vacationtime here, so I'll sure force her outside quite often the next weeks... :-)

Bursdagskort

Birthdaycard - mixed media style

I recently made this mixed media card using lots of blue colors.
Some strips of mesh, then a thin layer of gesso. I used a stencil together with crackle medium. And when it's completely dry, I added lots of glimmer mist.
I also used some Prima stamps to finish the background. The sentiment is a die from Kaboks. And I just love the metal stars from Finnabair.
Some splatters with gesso and Glimmer Glam to make the final touch.

The card made it safely across the Atlantic to a very young 60-year-old, living in California :-)

Harry Potter, Quidditch and Stuck?! Sketches.....

This spring we went to London for a few days. And the main goal for my girls, was to visit the Warner Bros Studios Tour and The Making of Harry Potter.
I think it was a great experience and lots of fun for all ages....
My daughters had their photos taken trying out for the Quidditchteam, and I just had to make a layout with that theme.
The recent sketch at Stuck?! Sketches was perfect for my photo.
I used papers from 7 Dots Studio. Made some layers of papers, postcard (with the Hogwart title), tissue tape and mesh. Then covered it with a thin layer of white gesso. Once completely dry, I used lots of Glimmer Mist, and let some of it run down the page.
I then built more layers with paper, tags, cheese cloth, thread and chipboard.
In the upper right corner I tried to recreate the golden snitch. Stamping some batwings, and then adding a giant rhinestone in the middle. And the word stickers from 7 Dots Studio seem to always match my layouts, no matter what it is about. "Get cape. Wear cape. Fly" - could it be more perfect???? :-)
The title 'rumpeldunk' is the Norwegian word for Quidditch. I have read the books in English, while mye girls read them in Norwegian, where most of the names have been translated. So we always argue about what people and things are called. (It's Hagrid!!!! Not Gygrid!! ... and so on....)
I also bought lots of button badges with Harry Potter in the gift shop. The one with Gryffindor was perfect for this photo. And Hedwig had to come along - a chipboard owl covered with Distress Ink - Picket Fence.
I also used stamps from Prima and Carabelle to create the background. And lots of splatters, in black and gold.

I had so much fun making this page. And I'm really looking forward to all the other photos from London, with or without Harry Potter....
This is the sketch I tried to follow.....
